Sixth Form

An exceptional educational experience.

The Sixth Form at Quinton House School offers students a superb setting that will set them up for success and prepare them for life beyond the school gates.

With 20 subjects to choose from, students can be sure that there will be courses which will enthuse and inspire, as they learn with expert educators.

Sixth Form is a time when students develop intellectual and creative interests which will stay with them through university and beyond. Quinton House School will provide every opportunity for our students to discover their interests and follow their dreams.

VISION AND VALUES

We are a proud and inclusive school

We value the holistic approach to education, ensuring each student is treated as an individual with their unique needs accommodated to give them the support they need in the learning environment. We want to create a 'home-away-from home', where students are comfortable with both their surroundings and the people they interact with.

Leadership is at the heart of everything we do. Our Sixth Form students have the opportunity to take on leadership of our many student run ambassador roles. Our Head Students take an active lead in the day-to-day running of the school as well as overseeing the other student leadership roles. Students are actively encouraged to become mentors, run co-curricular clubs and help train our next athletes.

Our mission is to prepare students for life beyond education – the world is rapidly changing and we must ensure our students have the right qualifications and skills to adapt and in many cases, lead the changes. Easy access to our Director of Sixth Form Mrs Chelsea Austen, whose office is in the heart of our Sixth Form Village, means students have daily support regarding their future career pathways and we offer specialist programmes for those applying to Oxbridge and other competitive courses.

Our ever-growing industry links means that we put work placements at the heart of our timetable. Students are given the opportunity as part of their regular learning to complete weekly placements at a number of different organisations. We believe that work experience is important and helps set our students apart from the rest. Our regular careers talks means that we enable our students to be able to make the right career/university choice that matches their unique skill set.

FACILITIES & LOCATION

We have a brand new, purpose-built facility.

We have created a University-style environment where students will learn to work independently while being supported and guided on an individual basis by our excellent Sixth Form team.

They have access to a dedicated Sixth Form village which houses individual learning pods, library and a festival food van which offers refreshments from 8.am in the morning.

Students will also find spaces where they will be able to work, rest and play. They can enjoy a coffee or snack with their friends in one of our two Common Room pods, work out in our Sixth Form gym or study hard in our purpose-built study spaces.
