Thursday 20th March saw our 3rd annual inter-school conference take place, with schools across Northamptonshire joining together to discuss the topics important to the students themselves. The topic as chosen by the students at last year’s meeting was mental health.

Organised and lead by our Global Ambassador students, the day consisted of key note speakers and charities, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise on mental health.

The ambassadors’ mission was simple:

🧠 Gain a deeper understanding of how mental health affects individuals and communities

🧠 Receive practical resources from leading charities and experts

🧠 Engage in hands-on activities to build resilience and support well-being

🧠 Be empowered to bring change back to your schools

The day certainly delivered on that mission and we cannot thank the students enough who attended the day. The questions asked of the experts were insightful and thought provoking.

The day simply couldn’t happen without our speakers and charities, donating their time and valuable experience. Thank you for the life changing knowledge as well as the personal stories that you so bravely shared.

Also to the sponsors, thank you once again for your continued support and making the event possible.

Speakers on the day: Caroline Strawson (The Mental Wellbeing Company), Dr Mike Scanlon, Rebecca Kings (The Lowdown), Matthew Bushell (Action For Happiness), The Samaritans, Sport in Mind, The Frank Bruno Foundation, Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire.

Sponsors of the event: Tollers Solicitors, Brand Print UK LTD, PHL Group, West Northants Council, Northampton Town Council, St. Benedict’s Church.
