We provide students with the emotional support they need to thrive.
At Quinton House, we are determined to help every child develop courage, honesty, integrity, and a global outlook. We believe these are the core values to help children succeed in a competitive world, so we provide an exceptional pastoral care offering.

Staff
Staff are passionate about developing students' academic progress and emotional well-being, and are committed to carefully monitoring the student's journey as they progress through the school.
We build and encourage close relationships with parents to collaborate at every step of the student's journey with us. This keeps the child at the centre of our collective decision making.
Tutor
The dedicated tutor is the first person the child sees every day, this creates familiarity and trust between student and teacher.
A productive start to the day is crucial and each year group has a range of activities and tasks to complete each morning. This includes a focused wellbeing morning, character development-based moral dilemmas and weekly assemblies.
Parents
When a child joins Quinton House, the parents become part of the community. We develop a relationship based on honesty and trust, with the child at the heart of our conversations.
Parents are warmly welcomed to attend sports fixtures, music recitals and drama productions, plus a whole host of social events including Fireworks, Easter Extravaganza and Summer Fayre.
Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education
We deliver a well-rounded programme of PSHE which helps children prepare for the pressures of the outside world.
Our carefully directed programme takes into account the increasing pressures on young adults, ensuring our students are well rounded, confident and compassionate individuals who are well equipped to deal with the competitive and challenging world.
Wellbeing
Student wellbeing is crucial for both academic success, personal growth and thus the development of one's character.
When students feel physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy, they are more likely to engage in their learning, participate actively in class and school life and develop positive relationships with peers and teachers.
Wellbeing at Quinton House is a priority and we actively promote our very own Wellbeing Charter which highlights the importance of several mental and physical contributors:
- Sleep Hygiene
- Nutrition
- Exercise and Regular Activity
- Connections
- Engagement
- Giving to Others
STUDY SUPPORT
Every student is nurtured and supported.
Quinton House School has a well-established Learning Support Department led by Mrs Lucinda Pates (Head of Student Support & Welfare). Prep School children sometimes require booster sessions for difficulties relating to phonics, basic literacy or numeracy skills and handwriting which are on offer through our co-curricular programme.
